Deepening Connections ~ Creating A Core Shift
In The Way We Live Our Relationships

What will I take home with me?

  • A great way to work with your negative judgments of others so that they become a key to realizing your own positive potential. If you are a coach or therapist, you will be able to use this tool both for yourself and your clients.
  • A new awareness of energy – everything you communicate to others beyond the actual words you say. You’ll have a new understanding of what disconnects people from each other and how to shift relationship back to a more alive connection.
  • A basic understanding of the Voice Dialogue process and the Psychology of Selves that will give you “new eyes” to see the world of inner and outer relationships in all parts of your life.
  • A new way to work with conflict in relationship that will take you out of polarization and into creative and cooperative connection.

Relationship makes me think of couples – what about attending by myself or with a friend?

This is a weekend about ALL relationships – friendships, work relationships, family, community, intimate partnerships. Individuals will feel very comfortable attending on their own or with colleagues or friends. Couples are welcome and will learn ways to bring more creative aliveness into their relationship.

Is “Deepening Connections” helpful with work and business relationships?

“Deepening Connections” can be especially helpful in regard to our interpersonal relationships at work as well as our relationships with our business clients. We are happy to schedule this workshop for small businesses or groups within larger businesses – ask us about special group rates.

What will we actually be doing?

  • Learning about the different parts of us (inner selves) that get involved in our relationships.
  • Looking at our negative judgments of behaviors and attitudes in other people and learning how to get enormous benefit out of the things that bug us the most!
  • Discovering how and what we communicate to others non-verbally and learning how to regulate energetic communication in our relationships.
  • Learning a new way to deal with conflict where we can stand up for ourselves while remaining open and connected.
  • Honoring all the different parts of who we are and becoming more conscious in relationship to ourselves.

How we will do this, and what do I need to bring?

We’ll use guided imagery, large group and small group exercises, Voice Dialogue demonstrations (where you can participate and/or observe). There will be non-verbal, non-physical partnered energy exercises, and also opportunity for discussion and reflection. You’ll have handouts with space to write and draw, and it’s fine to bring a favorite notebook of your own.

What will we NOT be doing?

  • This is a psycho-educational workshop, not a therapy group. You will not be expected or pressured to reveal anything personal about yourself that you would feel uncomfortable sharing.
  • You won’t be expected to behave in ways that might be uncomfortable for the conservative parts of your personality

Where we’ll be meeting.

We’ll be gathering at a beautiful secluded retreat space in the rural part of Redmond, Washington. Our building is sheltered by trees with lots of windows to the green world outside. The space is carpeted and we have comfortable chairs and also back jacks, as well as lots of cushions and shawls for cozying up in.

Comfort and special needs ~ We do our best to take care of everyone’s needs. We serve mostly organic lunches and snacks with lots of gluten-free options. Hot beverages are all organic and our tap water is really good well water. Our soups are gluten-free and always vegan. Cheeses are goat or sheep’s milk. If you let us know ahead of time about any other special needs, we will do our best to accommodate you. (Also we do ask people not to wear any natural or artificial fragrances as many people are sensitive to them.)

What people are saying about “Deepening Connections”

“I would definitely recommend this to a friend. No matter where one enters, it is an opening to learn and a safe way to connect and interact with others on a genuine level.”

“I learned that I want to learn more about Voice Dialogue and use it as a tool in my work with families.”

I would have a hard time choosing one most meaningful part of the workshop. I have been walking around the last two days in a state of awe at the subversive, quiet efficacy of this method. In all the inner work I have done, both with traditional therapists and in meditation, I have never encountered something so deeply clarifying.”

Our Intention

  • For us to all enjoy the connection we have with each other while we’re learning about connection.
  • To make it possible for you to come away with new options for being in relationship with yourself and others.
  • To open up to a new living sense of what “energy” is and does in all our relationships.
